Establishment of a sustainable soap manufacturing business for women from Kwakoegron, Makakiki, and Comissariskondre. Part 2

01.02.2025 To launch professional soap making, we were able to recruit Soeminda Patra to lead an exclusive soap workshop for the women's group. She is particularly knowledgeable about the use of medicinal herbs and natural oils in soap making.

Ms. Albertina Adjako assisted me and the entire group as a translator to prevent any misunderstandings or unclear points.

For this workshop, the women gathered fresh herbs that they wanted to use. The soap-making process was explained from start to finish. What are the first steps, what clothes should I wear, how do I prepare the herbs, what neutralizes lye if I come into contact with it, and so on.

At the end of the workshop, all participants received a certificate.
